The Environment Protection Department (EPD) on Monday sealed three big godowns situated on Band Road area of the provincial metropolis involved in illegal recycling of hospital wastage. Special checking teams also lodged an FIR against these illegal recycling units and sent their cases to the environment tribunals for further proceedings.

This was disclosed by the Secretary Environment Punjab Saif Anjum while reviewing a meeting to monitor the progress on checking of illegal recycling of hospital wastage launched on the special directives of the provincial minister Begum Zakia Shahnawaz.
